The last round.....
Wayne hadn't been to Croft for about 8 years so he was on the back foot with circuit knowledge. Practice went well, but with no Friday practice (some of us have to work!) the boys couldn't quite match the pace, so 7seconds off the front runners. A few clicks of the suspension and out for qualifying, managed to get the gap down to 4.5 seconds and was 16th on the grid for the race.
Race 1
Off to a megga start, took the first 3 rows before turn 1, had a good race all round and finished 2.5 seconds off pace with a finish of 9th place.. A new set of tyres and a day practising would of made a huge difference but it wasn't to be this time!
Race 2...Sunday
Not the awesome start we'd had the day before but still going well, looking to make passes on the four in front but on lap six, poor Mark was getting covered in hot water, we'd sprung a leak! A jubilee clip had broke off the thermostat. Not something you could ever foresee in a million years nor would you think a brand new clip would break, that's just the way it is! The boys sat in the georgous North Yorkshire sunshine and watched the remainder of the race, they had a push back from Dave Atkinson, (cheers!) and went to the awards ceremony, promptly won £100 in the raffle, (cheers!!!!) so now we can afford some more jubilee clips!!
All in all, a good season, not the end race that the boys wanted, but can't be helped. The bike has wanted for nothing this year and the pennies ran out early, more sets of tyres and Friday practice seem to be the way forward so we need to plan it out for next season.
A big, huge, massive 'THANKS' to ALL our sponsors and supporters. We really can't do it without you and hope we have your continued support for 2016. Any friends/sponsors that are able to dig a little deeper in those pockets for next year will be much appreciated. We know it's hard for everyone but I know Real Racing deserves to be on the podium for the TT and that will always be our goal, so the more that's put in the closer we can get to achieving this dream. Wayne and Mark are a brilliant combination and they both have the drive and commitment to succeed. Please ask around and pass on this web address so that Real Racing has the best chance of finding any new sponsors and advertising anyone who is able to help us. It's a great opportunity for any business and can be beneficial to a company as much as it is us. We will be having a team meeting towards the end of the year to discuss next seasons plans, anyone who might like to be involved with the team whether for sponsorship deals or ideas, should contact the team manager via email...realracing@fsmail.net.......or mobile 07710542187.
Keep dropping in to this blog throughout the winter as I will update it with whatever plans are put in place and if anyone wants to call in and see the bike or speak to Wayne, your welcome to pop by.
Last but not least......one of the big thanks has to go to Mark..... You've been a breath of fresh air to have around, your a top passenger, a total nutter and a good mate! Many thanks too Sarah for all your support and feeding Bob!!
